WE DID IT! Cold turkey! No more pacifier! Her last day was Thursday(21st). OH MY GOSH, Friday was hell! But I was still glad to be the one with her all day. No joking, it was a struggle for her.
Kay...I can't remember if I left a comment on this post or not. The computer was being weird last night and I quickly got off. Anyway...I just wanted to say you're my new hero! Cold turkey? AAAAA! Ellee and I are both having a difficult time giving the ol' thing up. She only gets it at nap-time/bed-time. But, she LOVES it! And, I've become kind of partial to the thing too. It keeps her SO happy. But, with a new baby coming--I'm a little worried about it. I want Ellee to be over it and not steal baby sister's. So, I'm trying to do the little by little thing and then cut the tip off...but, it isn't going so easily. Wish me luck!
Thanks for the advice! That's probably what I need to do. But, as I type, she is taking a nap and sucking away on her pacifier--looking so content. AAAAA!
Funny story. The other morning Brett (my lil' bro) let the cat in the house while he was getting ready for work. Well, Ellee was still asleep and all of a sudden I heard PANICKED screaming coming from her room. I ran in wondering what in the world could be the problem and saw that Gremlin (the cat) was happily tossing her pacifier back and forth between his paws and gnawing on it. Lovely! So...at least that's one less pacifier to deal with. Maybe I should just let him go to town on the other 2 that she has and let her watch and then throw them away cuz they're "yucky." I wonder how she'd respond to that. :)
