T.A.

MY DAUGHTER HAS an issue. I love that she loves to brush her teeth but I have to admit it is not because she is concerned about her dental hygiene. Shelby is obsessed with toothpaste and would try to eat it all day long if I let her. I have more than once had to ask her if she needs me to accompany her to Toothpasteaholics Anonymous! She still refuses to admit that she has a problem.

MY HEAVEN

Queen Creek's new Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre, pictures by Ralph Freso, Tribune

LAST SATURDAY NIGHT Alanna, Amber, Nicole and I hit the rodeo at the newest Arena in Queen Creek. We had a blast! The place is HUGE, there is a 100 stall stable behind the two arenas; one open, one covered. I told Alanna as soon as we got there that in case she was wondering, when I die, this is where I will be going; complete with horses THEN cowboys. After the rodeo we cruised over to Rooster's to play some pool. What a great night out with the girls! Got to bed at 4:15am.

SAGUARO LAKE AND GRANITE REEF

TWO WEEKENDS AGO Shelby and I took a little Sunday drive out to the lake and the river. It was a beautiful slightly stormy day. Alanna gave Shelby this little knit cap she got from a program developed to help women in prison. Alanna and all the lives she touches...probably couldn't even count. Thanks Bear, she loves it and looks so cute in it!

HER PERSONALITY #3

THE LATEST AND greatest thing Shelby is fixed on is bringing a stuffed animal into the bath tub with her. WHY?!! Of all toys that could potentially be suitable for the bath tub, my daughter has to bring in a stuffed animal. At least she knows it was the hippo that belongs in an aquatic habitat. I OF COURSE never let this happen if I can help it but I cant tell you how many times she has thought ahead and thrown one in there while it was filling up. The hippo, Milhouse (of course), the bear, the dog, and I am sure I am missing a few. I now have horrific motherly fears of these animals growing a deadly mold deep inside their stuffing and making her sick. The dryer is constantly going along with sun drying in hopes of killing the toxic mold that just has to be there...right? Cant help but love her for it and trying not to laugh when she does it!
